One sunny morning along the banks of the Eurotas River, Leda caught sight of a dazzling white swan — Zeus in disguise. From their union, she later laid two eggs, from which emerged Castor and Pollux: brothers in spirit, yet divided by blood — one mortal, one divine.
Together, they lived as heroes, inseparable in battle and in bond. But when Pollux was struck down, grief consumed Castor. Unable to bear the loss, Castor begged Zeus not for power or glory — but for his brother’s return. In compassion, Zeus granted them a shared immortality, casting them into the stars as the constellation Gemini, united for eternity.
Reflecting Gemini’s duality: one twin radiant, reaching skyward in motion and brilliance — the other grounded, still, and introspective. Like their myth, Gemini is a sign of light and shadow, of companionship and contradiction. Curious, expressive, quick-witted — yet equally capable of retreat, reflection, and sudden stillness.
